Brookline Street South End
Purchased by a young family of five, the brownstone had been fully gutted by previous owners who preserved the architecture while modernizing kitchens and baths. Our role was not to renovate again, but to restore cohesion — quietly editing, softening, and layering the interiors so the historic bones and contemporary updates could finally speak the same language. Our focus was on stewardship: honoring original proportions, reintroducing warmth and patina, and designing spaces that support real family life without diluting the home’s architectural integrity. The result is a house that feels both settled and alive —modern, but deeply rooted in history.
